This article shares a real export project of fuel tank semi-trailers tailored for petroleum transportation across the Middle East, mainly serving logistics and energy clients in Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Oman. Road haulage is the core mode for local refined oil and crude oil distribution, as well as cross-border energy delivery. However, the local desert environment brings many operational challenges. Intense year-round heat, recurring sandstorms and bumpy outback roads easily cause vehicle wear and tear and mechanical failures. In addition, local regulatory departments impose strict certification and safety standards for oil transport vehicles, which places high demands on the overall performance and environmental adaptability of imported trailers.
To solve the actual usage pain points of local fleets, we customized 3-axle aluminum alloy fuel tank semi-trailers with a capacity ranging from 38,000L to 45,000L. The multi-chamber tank design supports the separate shipment of gasoline, diesel and aviation kerosene in a single trip, effectively improving the overall transportation efficiency for local logistics teams. We adopted integral long-axis automatic welding technology for the tank body to eliminate hidden leakage risks. Special high-temperature resistant and anti-corrosion coating is also applied to help the trailers cope with long-term desert exposure and sand erosion. Equipped with stable WABCO braking systems and standard 24V electrical components, all units have passed SASO certification and fully comply with local road driving and petroleum transportation safety norms.
After being delivered and put into local service, these tailored trailers effectively solved fleet problems like limited single-trip load and frequent breakdowns. They run reliably even during long-duration, heavy-duty operations in tough desert conditions.
